Prof. RNDr. Aleš Stuchlík, PhD., DSc. (*1974) works as a researcher at the National Institute of Mental Health and as a senior researcher at the Institute of Physiology, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. He is involved in research on learning, memory and behaviour in relation to the brain. He also studies cognitive deficits and other behavioral changes accompanying animal models of neuropsychiatric disease. His research advances the understanding of the neural basis of behavior and provides applied and translational outputs in addition to new insights. He collaborates with a number of leading national and international institutions. He has long been involved in teaching and training domestic and international undergraduate and postgraduate students. He teaches at the Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague. He is also involved in popularization of science and publications for the general public. He is a member of the editorial boards of several international journals.
