Mgr. Klára Tučková graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and subsequently completed a Master's degree in Zoology with a specialization in Ecology and Ethology at Charles University. She is continuing PhD. studies at the same university at the Animal Physiology department .

In her diploma thesis, she studied the effect of environment on the rat model of autism, and during that she learned a wide range of behavioral tests assessing emotionality, memory and social behavior in the laboratory rat.

At the National Institute of Mental Health, she works in the team of Tomáš Petrásek, PhD, where she studies animal models of neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative diseases and their association with sleep and circadian activity disruption.
