Koudelka was with Department of Radio-Electronics - Brno University of Technology, where he finished his Ph.D. in 2014. He was a member of computational electromagnetics laboratory in frame of the SIX research center. His interest was focused on machine learning applied in electromagnetics. In this field, Koudelka addressed regularization approach in sense of bias vs. variance dilemma. Koudelka invented a new Bayesian approach to model selection of kernel density estimatimators in his work. Generalized phenomena taken from machine learning can be applied in solving inverse problems like microwave tomography, which formed his recent interest. The obtained analogy wants to be further applied in EEG source localization, fMRI and also in other brain imaging techniques, i.e. a fusion of EEG and fMRI modalities.
