Profile

The Center for Perinatal Mental Health is focused on applied clinical research in the field of psychosocial health and well-being in women in the perinatal period and during maternity and parental leave.
The main goal of the center's activities is the comprehensive development and testing of innovative approaches in the prevention and treatment of perinatal mental disorders, and their subsequent implementation in practice.

Other activities include educating society about the issue of perinatal mental health and preparing educational activities as part of the lifelong professional education of experts working with women in the perinatal period or on maternity and parental leave. Among the target groups of the center's activities are also men in the early stages of fatherhood.

The Perinatal Mental Health Center actively participates in the clinical care of NIMH within the outpatient and inpatient care of pregnant and postpartum women.
