Inpatient Ward 2: Mood Disorders

Treatment and research programs:

Mood disorders (depressive disorder, bipolar disorder etc.) are prevalent illnesses that are frequently associated with significant disability, morbidity, and mortality. Although a number

of   treatment options are available, no single treatment is universally effective and most individuals with mood disorders  undergo multiple treatments before achieving remission.

The research task of working group is to test the efficacy of new treatment approach and method  as well as to search and evaluate ability of various factors (clinical, neurophysiological, biochemical etc.) in the prediction of treatment outcome with pharmacological or non-pharmacological interventions in mood disorders.
