Head of the Research Program Public Mental Health
Dr. Karolína Kuchaříková (née Mladá) works at the National Institute of Mental Health (NUDZ) as a statistician, Head of the Public Mental Health research program, and head of the Psychiatric Epidemiology working group. After studying applied mathematics, statistics, and data analysis at the Faculty of Science of Masaryk University in Brno, she worked at the Czech Statistical Office, where she gained practical experience with databases. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen (LFP), Charles University. At NUDZ, her work focuses primarily on the analysis of data on psychiatric care in the Czech Republic, suicide, and other epidemiological and sociological phenomena. In addition to research, she organizes outreach events such as the Na hlavu festival and Laboratoř mysli (“Mind Lab”).
