Annotation

The aim of this methodology is to provide public contracting authorities (participating institutions, hereinafter referred to as PI) with framework guidelines for the process of cleaning data within the CARDS project and preparing it for migration to the New Generation Platform (hereinafter referred to as NGP). The methodology contains basic information on the technical aspects of the process and defines the roles and responsibilities of the participants.
The contracting parties are guided by a common goal, which is to create a permanently stable environment that will ensure high-quality searchability and accessibility of information sources and research results through the acquisition and implementation of the NGP within the Czech Academic and Research Discovery Services (CARDS) project, registration number CZ.02.01.01/00/22_004/0004342.
Part of this process is ensuring the quality of bibliographic data and the successful migration of data to PNG. Data migration is a complex process that requires a detailed analysis of existing bibliographic records at the Institute of Art History and the identification of areas for improvement. The results of the analysis showed that it is necessary to improve the quality of bibliographic records, ensure data consistency, remove duplicate and erroneous records, and prepare data for future migration to PNG or regular submission to the CNB (SK ČR and NA ČR).
