Ing. Ondřej Bečev, Ph.D.
Ing. Ondřej Bečev, Ph.D. is a researcher in the Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation Working Group at the National Institute of Mental Health, Czechia. He holds degrees in Neuroscience (Ph.D.) from the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University and in Cognitive Informatics (Ing.) from the University of Economics in Prague. Currently, his work focuses on the use of noninvasive transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) to support cognitive function, particularly in adults with attention disorders (ADHD).
In addition, he conducts research on impulse control, sense of agency, response inhibition, volition, and the conscious awareness of intentions. His research primarily employs neuroscientific methods, including electroencephalography (EEG) and noninvasive brain stimulation techniques (such as VNS, tACS, and rTMS).
