JADE Health is designed to integrate validated best practices and/or (cost-)effective interventions across countries and regions through transnational pilot initiatives, complementing and reinforcing existing policies and programs.
The project covers holistically all the pathology, from improving health literacy and awareness of dementia, traveling through screening and primary prevention among high-risk populations, and reaching people living with Dementia including other neurological disorders. This project will take into account the role o care providers, relatives, and health professionals, improving service pathways and care solutions.
The main objective of the JADE Health Joint Action (JA) is to improve and foster health in the EU Member States by reducing the burden of Dementia and other Neurological Disorder and related diseases, both at societal personal level, through improving prevention and early detection of the illnesses(diseases) and improve education and insight into and understanding of the disease for relatives, care professionals and other stakeholders. This Joint Action will be implemented by 18 countries of EU involving best practices in 38 pilots in the countries participating. The project initiative covers the entire pathology from a holistic viewpoint. Awareness, prevention, early detection, treatment, and care methods. JADE Health also addresses transversal and intersectional aspects, e.g., promoting equity in health, social, cultural, and ethnic diversity, and the improvement of data availability.
