National Consultancy to Strengthen MHPSS Capacity for Labor Offices, Integration Centers and MoEYS professionals in Czechia
15.03.2025–30.09.2025
Aim
The project aims to strengthen the capacities of psychologists and other professionals working with Ukrainian adolescents and youth in regional labour offices under the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA) and regional integration centres under the Ministry of Interior (MoI), as part of UNICEF’s Cesty programme.
We achieve this by designing and implementing targeted capacity-building activities and workshops that address identified needs in the area of MHPSS. The initiative leverages the expertise of Ukrainian trainers with experience in therapeutic work, with the same demographic, ensuring culturally and contextually relevant approaches. The project extends its impact by sharing accessible knowledge bilingually in Czech and Ukrainian languages with a broader audience through open online seminars.
Our team is realizing this project as a part of UNICEF’s CESTY programme, which provides Ukrainian youth with opportunities to access education, develop skills and transition to quality first jobs in the Czech Republic.
The project produces a meaningful impact by enhancing participants' approaches to working with Ukrainian adolescents and youth in a culturally and contextually appropriate manner.
Target groups and modalities
This project will directly enhance the capacities of three groups of professionals through a combination of in-person and online workshops and training sessions:
1. Specialized training for psychologists working with Ukrainian adolescents and youth in regional Integration Centers under the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
2. Specialized training for psychologists supporting both Ukrainian and Czech adolescents and youth in regional labor offices under the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MoLSA).
3. Online seminars on general MHPSS topics, accessible to professionals from both state entities and other Cesty partner organizations.
The seminars and training sessions are developed and conducted by psychologists Nataliia Berezhko, Oksana Ryzhenko, Maryna Mishchenko, and Svitlana Kovalchuk in collaboration with coordinators Oleksandra Vytvytska and Ivan Volchkov.
Logistical coordination is provided by Oleksandra Vytvytska.
