The National Institute of Mental Health - a modern research and clinically oriented center for the field of mental health - is recruiting for the position of:
Researcher at the Sleep and Chronobiology Research Centre
We are looking for a colleague to strengthen our team in Quantitative electrophysiology of sleep and wakefulness research group.
General information
Job status: Part-time employment contract, workload 0,5 FTE
Expected start date: As soon as possible
Duration of employment: Fixed-term until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension
Workplace: National Institute of Mental Health, Klecany (near Prague, easily accessible by public transport)
What will be your job description
- Organizing experimental measurements
- Organizing and leading teams of students involved in research
- Administrative tasks related to conducting research
- Assisting with data collection
- Management and verification of measured data
- Participation in joint team meetings
- Participation in the analysis of research data
- Contributing to the writing of scientific publications
What we expect from you / evaluation criteria
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in psychology, medicine, or a related field
- Interest in postgraduate studies is an advantage
- Previous experience with data analysis (knowledge of Matlab, EEGLAB and other statistical software)
- Interest in the study and research of sleep or insomnia
- Previous experience leading people and organizing projects/studies
- Previous experience with data collection and management is an advantage
- Very good command of English, both spoken and written
