At our department, we provide MRI of the following regions:
- Brain (including intracranial MR angiography)
- Cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine
- Sacroiliac (SI) joints
- Hips
- Knees
Imaging is performed on a modern, high-sensitivity Siemens MAGNETOM Prisma 3T scanner.
We accept referrals from external healthcare providers.
For a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan, it is necessary for the patient to lie still inside the machine for approximately 30 minutes. For this reason, we are unfortunately usually unable to perform the scan on individuals suffering from severe claustrophobia and on children under 10 years of age.
An MRI examination is covered by Czech public health insurance.
Self-paying patients:
Patients without insurance coverage can pay for the examination directly.
